If you have an ARP do you still have to code billing? How important is it?

If you have entered an Alternate Relationship Plan with AHCIP you will still be required to submit billing through H-Link the same as if you are billing fee for service. Even though you will not be paid for claims in the same way these numbers are no less important than when you are billing fee for service. There may even be additional codes provided to you that cover time for administration or other tasks that are not covered under the traditional fee for service codes. It Is crucial that these items are entered correctly as this can reflect any underpayments/overpayments and depending on the type of arrangement in place can also affect income. Sherritt Services Inc. has experience with ARP billing and can work with physicians to create tools to ensure all of your billing information is captured and submitted correctly.
